Would anyone happen to know if any 6.5" (165mm) diameter, 23-spline X 1" shaft clutch plates are available?
I need one to mate a 1275cc MG Midget engine to a Ford Type 9 gearbox, but as far as I'm aware, only hybrid ones are available, and all the usual Ford ones with 23 splines are 7.5"+ in diameter...

Hi, Have a trawl through this: I have had a quick look but nothing sprung out immediately. Can you get the flywheel redrilled to take a bigger clutch cover for a 190m plate or indeed will the existing cover accommodate it? www.spagweb.com/v8mini/tech_files/clutch_QH08.pdf Colin

Thanks for that, Colin - very useful. One that appears promising is the Subaru Vivio clutch, at 160mm diameter and correct number of splines (23), but alas, I think the splines/hub diameter is too small at around 20mm - the Ford Type 9's is 1" (25.4mm)...
I could get the flywheel redrilled to accept a Ford clutch, but was hoping not to have to go that route.

This is a common mod to the Morris Minor so ask on their forums.

Indeed, I did try asking on those. Not to worry, I sold the conversion kit - decided I can live with the standard 4-speed 'box for the time being...
