An unfortunate change in personal circumstances means I'm now putting my 1302S project up for sale. Car is a 1972 model and I have the V5 in my name. It had been off the road and sitting in a field for eight years before I bought it, so is in need of some work.
The body is in reasonable nick, with good roof channels etc, but the lower edges of both front inner wheel arches have rotted out and need replacing. The heater channels need replacing, too, but I have a set of repro items to address this that will go with the car.
The chassis is covered in surface rust and the front crossmember and both floorpans will need replacing at a minimum, while you can reasonably expect some repairs to be required elsewhere.
The body has been braced and is back sitting on the chassis, while I still have the bumpers, doors, glass, seats etc. Basically everything that came off the car when I began to strip it.
Would make a decent project for someone who can weld and has the time and inclination to get the body and pan up to scratch, but of course this will not be a weekend job! The engine turns freely and we have cranked it over, but not started it yet. I believe it is a 1500 engine. The gearbox also selects gears freely.
I would much rather sell the car as is than break it, but I will unfortunately have to consider that if there is no interest in the whole thing.
I'd like £550 ono as it stands. I can be contacted by PM on here or email mg261285AThotmail.com if you have any other questions.
I've included a few pics, of the car as collected and as it is now, but can supply more on request.
Thanks,
Matt
