Edit: I remember back in the day when I used to read 'Performance Car' magazine as a teen - an amazing 911 with a body kit by Strosek. I think that does it for me if it's gonna have some plastic bits: Yes, as much as I like all of the 911's in this thread, this Strosek one is the one from my childhood dreams.

This may be a bit too "custom" for some but I think this looks great, and converted a Porsche-sceptic to the ways of the Nine-One-One. Then again, anything with genuine racing pedigree is cool. Still not into the later water cooled ones though, which just look too bland and smooth to me like a squashed Mondeo. (just my opinion!)

I bought mine 10 yrs ago when they were relatively cheap and have managed to hold onto it even though it has cost me more than the initial purchase price in rust removal/engine work/all sorts of silly stuff.... I bloody love it , every time I fold myself into it and go for a blat I remember why I still keep it ..

Super ominous like a U-boat in the Baltic... Now it seems that kit was pretty rare - 'cos looking for that image I found a lot of other Strosek 911s but all have those weird small projector lights and more 944-like bumpers.

Yes, you're right about it being super rare. I've never found any other photos of it on the net except for the ones from the magazine. I still have these pages in a folder somewhere, so will try and scan and post them later.

I'm not much of a targa man, but this quite floats my boat! Currently on the bay of E. These a lot 'right' about that car in my book, a bit like the ducktail white car earlier in this thread (which I lurrrrve!!!) I don't think I could live with a Targa. But Chiffron white with Mocha interior looks pretty good!

Considering that was built pre-1987, it has a heck of a lot of future 964 cues in it. Thanks for sharing!

thanks for taking the time to scan it in! it has stood the test of time amazingly - its quite scene with those bbs spokes and i agree - was well ahead of the curve foreshadowing what would become the 964

This car is currently on bring a trailer - What a great colour Red Metallic (8181-H) Would look even better with Euro style Hella headlights and Houndstooth interior. This is on there as well - Very much like a negative image of Longman's cool car above. I so need to get this Jag of mine listed for sale!

For me it would need to be a mid eighties yuppie killer, in screaming yellow, wide arches, whale tail... the lot! And if possible, Targa roof!

Not sure what to make of this. One of the Cannonball movies right? It started as a 935 then they knocked all the box flares off it

My Jaguar went today... Kind of bitter sweet. A fuller bank balance but a space in the garage. Now the hunt is on!

Dang, why is it, as soon as you clear everything up (parking space and get the money together) that every car you've been watching, suddenly gets sold!!! There was this RS tribute, I had my eye on... And then their was this 72k miler that had always lived in Texas... Both in my price range and both sold in the last week
