1973 super beetle hotrod / volksrod
loads of custom work , year spent fixing it up - ££££ spent on new parts
10 months mot , tax free 1600 engine
drives great - real head turner .
selling because I don't have the time or money to put into it anymore
needs a paint job and probably some front wheel arches to keep the filth happy
everything is custom - endless work done on it !! All the dirty horrible stuff is done , just needs some paint work

Replaced air box
Bonnet catches rear
Lowered rear
Lowered front
Re modelled front end ( cut and welded to new curved shape)
Badges removed and holes welded
Front aluminium strut brace
Fog lights
Smoothed out inner front wings
Engine runs great - had a problem with fuel consumption but is not tuned so is ok on fuel . Starts every time and keeps up with modern traffic
Handles nice , is a bit hard on speed bumps but not crazy hard .
First time I took it out a guy rolled into a white van in traffic whilst looking at the car ! It's a real head turner , it really needs a nice paint job to finish it off . I have not seen any other super beetles as volksrods , making this very rare - what is lacks in the look of the true volksrod it makes up in the driving and performance .
