A morning spent at the MX5 Owners club spring rally at Ashton Gate Bristol.
Not a huge turn out but a good range of carts from scruffy MK1's (not mine it's still on the drive with no rear wheels, brakes or suspension) to brand new RF's. I had to go in the Alfa but I did buy a MX5OC sticker for the back window (of the Alfa).
I took photos mainly for my own reference, but here's a flavour;
Nice supercharger install with plenty of red detailing
I can't decide whether I like low pro rectangular lights, I do like this look though, recessed rectangular lights (by Jass).
Thought I 'd taken a shot with the bonnet down, would look with an added perspex cover.
Don't like red how about burgundy, nice supercharger as well
Subtle wheel arch extensions are nice.
I wouldn't go down this route with mine but really liked this one
Would be interesting to know how the headlights were done, not sure about the tail lights but does complete the smooth look.
Looking for ideas for your cam cover, snakeskin (water-dip transfer)?
I know this is a race car but really liked this dash, with the angled centre console, think it would work on a road car. Gap above instrument binnacle is a bit awkward though. Don't think much of the airbag replacement though ;-)
Finally some wheels,
Rota something (nice :-)
OZ, I think these were fitted to some special editions.
Finally finally, liked this lamp pod on a van, Duncan Hamilton.
Not a bad morning out and some good ideas gathered and parts bought towards brake refurb/upgrade.
