Frisking the Friday Ebay Others

The Skoda for me, though that price made me wince a bit! I remember the time when you could get 2 in this condition and have change from £300. Back then I had a well developed plan that involved one of these (specifically a Rapid), a big V8 in the middle and an Audi transaxle. I'd even worked out to remove the rear window and replace it with one of those plastic louvre panels that were so naff then and so desireable now! Somehow, the right car never materialized and now the plan will probably end up in the "might have been" bin (along with the Triumph Stag Targa Estate)
The Jowett is neat and well executed but may be trouble with Biva if it's not on file. Even pre 60 MOT exempt cars are recorded with DVLA if they are on the road.
The Honda would ideally suit another RRer who is looking for a home for a hot Honda engine in another thread!
Kinda have a love/hate relationship with the 305 Pug, worked on loads when they were current and have vast respect for the XUD diesel, especially in non turbo form, almost indestructible and it always seemed as if you only had to show it an empty 5 litre fuel can and it would do another 100 miles. But they do like to rust in nasty to repair places and the rear torsion bar bearings are a nightmare. I'd have to leave it looking bog stock and i'm not sure I could!
