	I inherited a Mini from my mum. It's in pretty good nick in that it had a new paint job, wheels, rear subframe and boot floor recently Although it's not road worthy, needing some interior work and another engine putting in (which i have) I have no particular urge to do much with it. It crossed my mind to strip it but it's sentimental to my mother (who is still alive) I also don't feel much like driving it So it sits in the garage. My only worry, really is that whatever value it has may be lost over time. But the garage is dry and ventilated Also, Minis, they're only going up in value, right?

	Like all cars, they are only worth what someone is prepared to pay for them. However unless it is something very special then leaving it in a garage is not the way to increase its value. A project has a ceiling price, with a running car worth more and a car on the road with a valid MOT worth even more. Finish the car and use it or gather up the parts needed over the next few years, finish it and sell it on hopefully at a profit. The longer a car sits unused the more it costs to recommission and most purchasers know this.

	Anything Ford with an RS badge on it is going to appreciate like mad over the next decade, the original mini has hit a plateau recently though.

	I think my time frame one way or another is five years So long as the condition of the car doesn't deteriorate too much in that time i think i'll be ok It's quite emotive having a car which you didn't necessarily ask for but has emotional connections to a family member

	Hi there I have a 1964 Radford mini deville hatchback which is very nice and I paid a good few pounds for it around 12 years ago.and if I was selling it I would be wanting at least 25,000 +. ACA car auctions had a wee 1970 850 mini nothing special but looked clean its reserve was 2-3 grand it sold for 6 grand.minis pretty much hold there own regarding prices.even projects can make decent money..Oh and my car isn,T for sale as my daughter will inherit it.
