So I got a phone call from my brother in law asking if I wanted a new amplifier, CD player and speakers for the garage. Of course I took him up on his offer so I am now the proud owner of these . So a bit of shuffling about later and I have a new media centre. It also doubles as an indoor wood store. Life is good. Happy mental health RR ers.

I won't tell a lie. The following photos your about to see have taken me nearly an hour to extract from my phone! So after mucho emotional blackmail from SWMBO, I sold my beloved SV 650 My situation was not helped by one of my friends having an accident whilst on his bike, so my Financial Adviser won this one. I will own another bike, when my daughter is older. Luckily I managed to fill the motorbike sized hole in my life with another rusty old car in the shape of a 1988 Mini. So after a little searching, this popped up on Stalkerbook Market place not too far from the Quarantine garage. A look round showed it to be very rust free. All the front suspension bushes are knackered and PO has fitted a full carbon front end! There were many comments from my associates about me trying to be 18 again which resulted in at least one of them also investing in a their own slice of Mini happiness. So a little rearranging of the garage was needed to accommodate the new stable mate. I managed to condense the occupants of two large shelving units onto one. The new media centre was abandoned and relocated onto a different shelving unit. The workbench was rotated through 90 degrees. The Caddy refused to start, even after being fed on fresh petrol. I suspect that yet another fuel pump has failed. That will be number 4 in about 2 years. I have now bought a separate swirl pot with external fuel pump. It may be my fault for running the tank dry, with the wheels in the air spinning so I could polish the lips. Oh well. The new Quarantine garage layout. The plan for the Mini is; A: Ask for Mini parts from Santa, 2: Fit all the Mini parts that Santa brings, D: Address the questionable position of the front arches, 5: Add MOT and powaaa, E: Drive, enjoy, smile, tinker etc. Life is good. Wishing you all good mental health.

This was our Suzuki Wagon R. All 600cc. A random unkown truck I spotted along the expressway. By far the oldest, rustiest car I saw all holiday. A lowered, cambered Toyota something that pulled up in the services. A Plymouth Prowler we stumbled across. A plethora of Lotus'? Lotii? Lotuses? Whatever the collective noun is. Fuel station which you reverse into under instruction from the attendants, also has the pump hanging from the ceiling. Some cool signs on a restaurant we found in a back street in Chinatown in Nagasaki. Japanese multi storey carpark.

So yesterday I decided the garage needed a freshen up. So I stripped all the signage off and gave the cladding a good coat of staining. That was how I left it last night. Today I will get the all the signs back on plus some new ones I have stashed.

Do keep in mind that many people - myself included I’m afraid - often read but don’t comment. I’m certainly reading though so thank you for sharing.

Well, another vote for the new improved signage and wood doctoring.
Good to see you posting updates too.
I need to do my woodwork shed again, and reflect its roof, it’s been there 7 years and the felt is certain to be fragile.
I know the little peak I added before had decent felt, but it has started to die too.
Pulling the signs off is a pain, but allows for a new look and to add some different ones.
