hello. ive decided its time to move this old girl on.
i bought her last year.it been sat in a garage since 2004/05,was a one owner car (technicaly still is as logbook wasnt ever changed) shes a 1600, column change automatic. in blue with blue interior.
over all condition is good, she is a very solid car, boot floor, inside floor, a pillars, b pillars, doors, inner wings, front xmember, out riggers, majority of the cills and arches are all in more than useable condtion and require very little if any work.
she will require some welding, its a old car, passneger cill wants the front tidying up, and the rear of the cill, cill end and just inside the wheel arch wants replacing.the worst area however is the headlight bowls and the 8 inches under them, they need replacing. the wings themselfs are metal and are good, but the forward section on both sides needs replacing.
chromework is good, rear bumper has a tiny mark on it, front bumper wants a good polish up from sitting but theres minimal pitting, grille, wheelcaps, door frames, handles all good.
the engine runs, its very quiet,(has an aftermarkert fuel pump) it has a puff of smoke at first, which clears up within a few seconds and gets up to temperature ok. i havent ever driven it due to it having no rear brakes, they were stuck on, so were removed. new shoes and cylinders and a master cylinder are in the car.
paintwork is so so, its had a repair to the rear arch and cill on one side a good few years ago and has been blown in, but not brilliantly. the roof has some pitting from being sat.its loved rather than showroom, and would benifit from tlc and probably a re-spray once the wing work has been done.
interior is in decent enough conditon, don't expect 2017 audi spec, the drivers seat is abit worn,as is the passenger one the carpets have a few marks and some of the small details have marks, but to get in, sit in, its complete and good enough looking to make you smile and feel like your sat on the set of heartbeat.
i understand at the price ive posted it up at, it isnt going to sell in a day, I'm reluctant to get rid if I'm honest, but reality is with a capri ive not touched in years thats my favourite and a stellar that needs work, its just going to sit in my mum and dads garage. If i don't get the money i want for it to fund the other stuff, itl just stay tucked away where it is.
i will attempt to add some pictures after, but I'm not very good with technology!
