Thought I would post this up on here.
This is my 2000 model 225 TT. I have owned this car since 2012 and have loved every moment of it.
A quick run down of what it is
* 225BHP BAM engine code
* 6 speed
* Full black heated leather
* Quattro
* Bose audio
* Coilovers
* 2 months MOT (will have to check the exact date)
* V5 present
* HPI clear
The car has done me well but has some points worth noting.
* 190k, however did have a rebuild very recently.
* Bodywork is very poor, has been painted at some point in its time and the sun has faded and peeled a majority of it.
* Some considerate twunt has caught it on the rear bumper corners at some point.
* seems as though some of the coilpack a have failed as it lacks power under load. Haven't VAGcom'd it yet but compression tests show healthy compression
* makes a lot of knocks bangs and rattles
* is generally ropey
* some random lights will get thrown up, ABS,ESP, once again, not checked it on Vagcom but am told there is some minor damage to the abs look resulting in the faults.
I would like to keep this TT as a spares vehicle for my other TT (only reason for the other TT is it's the 3.2 otherwise I'd sort this 225 out) however I thought I'd advertise it on here and see if there was any interest.
Following on from this thread retrorides.proboards.com/thread/195962/cheap-new-beetles-fun-option I think something equally awesome could be made of the TT.
Price wise I am asking £750 however please don't waste my time with incredibly foolish offers, if I wanted those this would be on gumtree.
P/X wise Id be interested in 50/50, part cash part car.
