Sierra's & Series 2 RS Turbo's seem to be the new targets for thieves. Been 5 known & reported Sierra's & 3 Series 2 Turbo's nicked since the start of December.

Have they just become elligable for some historic race/ rally class? I can't imagine there's much export market for anything other than Cosworths either in bits or complete

Have they just become elligable for some historic race/ rally class? I can't imagine there's much export market for anything other than Cosworths either in bits or complete Sierras are used for saloon stocks, lightning rods etc. But they're switching to BMWs & Mondeo's as Sierras are getting more expensive & harder to find. There is currently a big surge in stolen older vehicles being sent to & recovered in African nations. They like older cars as they are easy to work on & they can fix them themselves, newer cars can't as they're all electronic now. I shunned this idea when it was first put to me but have heard the same over & over so would suggest it does happen
