ive reverse bled new clutch parts with a huge syringe and some hose, works really well and easy /cheap
id be wary of bleeding old parts as you wouldnt want to push filthy fluid back up into the cleaner parts of the system

Hi, You don't need to spend that much just use an oil can with brake fluid in and a length of hose. It used to be common practice on larger vehicles in noisy workshops before the widespread use of air systems, or for solo bleeding.

Forgive my ignorance. Whats the benefit of using a reverse kit?

Forgive my ignorance. Whats the benefit of using a reverse kit? You can do it on your own, its less messy than an eazibleed and unlike the eazibleed its much easier to notice when the fluid is running low so less chance of filling the system with air again! Also less chance of over pressurising and some clutches are just much easier to reverse bleed!

main advantage is the bubbles want to travel upwards , so more chance of it working
hold your ear near the res and listen...you will hear the bubbles stop when its done
plus it costs like £3 for a syringe and some clear hose

Can't. If I ignore it then it means I have done as the post said, therefore not ignored it. If I don't ignore it then it means I have to do as it says and ignore it. But I cant do that cos I have already done what it asked. My brain hurts. Dick.

This will sound silly but how do you control the fluid level in the master cylinder. adjust the level to the minimum amount to just cover the outlets , then keep a eye on it and drain some off with a turkey baster or syringe as you go
