Audi A4 1.8T
121,000 Miles
MOT Sept 2017
Black
Well maintained and serviced. Original Service book, various maintenance invoices etc. Both original flip keys. Recent starter motor and battery
I took this car as a part exchange against a modern car. I've been using it myself for running about in since it came. Drives exceptionally nicely. Pulls great in every gear.
Interior is exceptionally clean and tidy for the age of the car. No ripped or worn seats etc. Gear gaiter is mildly worn. That's about as bad as it gets. Modern Sony Headunit with Aux etc.
Bodywork is good for that age of the car. Very straight for a black car, not peppered with dings etc. No rust apart from one blemish where the paint has flaked off, more on that below.
Bodywork defects, in full, are:
- N/S Front wing and corner of front bumper have been scraped against a low wall. The bumper has minor scuffs on this corner and will easily paint without serious repair. Wing has scuffs on the front edge and the paint has flaked off on the very corner. Wing has one small dent on the arch. This is by far the worst part of the car and is not horrendous. The wing is easily repairable or easy and cheap to source a second hand or new pattern replacement.
- N/S Front door handle has paint chipped off the bottom edge.
- Bootlid lock plinth has aluminium Corrosion on it.
- O/S Rear door plastic rubbing strip has a small section of the paint flaked off it
- Rear bumper has a small split on one corner. Previous owner has put some flexible bumper filler on it, but it's never been repaired propely and painted
- Alloy wheels have minor age related marks
The bonnet had gone badly faded and milky, but I have machine polished this up and it is silky smooth and shiny now. If someone spent a day machine polishing the whole car it would look superb.
As we are a bodyshop, we can rectify any or all of the above very easily, but thought it best to advertise the car as a cheap, usable runner in mechanically fine shape and very clean and tidy on the inside. It is a very clean, tidy and straight car on the outside too for its age. The only issue in reality is the NSF damage, which would cost very little to put right. The other bits are easy DIY jobs if you wanted to make the car very, very tidy. For anyone who is interested, I would sort the wing and front bumper for £150 and do the other little bits and pieces (excluding wheels) for £50
Does the car need anything else? It really needs a new O/S/F tyre. I might have a part worn knocking about in the right size, but can't promise. That aside it's a great car for someone which is good to go and give good service.[
