Having been single for just over a year now, I really am enjoying the lifestyle, within legal and financial constraints, I can do whatever I fancy. major plus points for me, is not having the tv permanently spewing endless reality show repeats, I can relax, uninterrupted, watching what I want, when I want. Finances have taken a definite turn for the better, Also my emotional health is improving, even though I do often struggle with motivational collapse Ttfn Glenn Ps, nice shed by the way

Wow you don't hang around! That would've taken me at least until june 2065! Just need stuff to get done so I can get on with other stuff. Had a couple of visitors after work today. Came in this Chariot... And in the flesh I really like this car. For a young man who has not even started to drive, he has a good vision of what he wants his car to look like. Some of the additions are perfectly scene, but it is all subtle, and not overdone. They also brought me a massively cool gift. Two license plates and both rare in my book. But the Cuba plate....... right outta the park !! I have wanted to go to Cuba for years, so this is even more cool for that reason as it delivers. Really good to see you Dan and George, and of course the little Rottweiler in the car

Shed building aside, Prozac seems to continue to earn its keep. Managed to return a roll of roofing felt early on Saturday morning dropping the sheds cost by Β£21.00 again. Then off to Katy's place for the rest of the weekend to do some house work. I have yet to add up the costs of the overflow shed but suspect it may still end up under Β£150.00 which is a bit of a bargain for a space designed to get me some space and back on track with restoring the C10 truck. Speaking of C10 trucks, my friend NevEno (Paul) in Oklahoma found this amusement park coin in the truck he is restoring, under the carpet. I did a load of shed painting at Katy's place over the weekend and a few other little jobs. Then back home tonight I carried on with a few little jobs just before dark. More in the shed build thread.

Β£150??!!!...you need to tighten your belt a bit. my self built shed cost me a whole Β£35...but that was about 15 years ago! I would say that Β£150.00 is tops. Could be less by a decent margin. Unfortunately I did not have any wood paint, roofing felt, metposts, fast screws, loads of silicone for gaps and a few other bits on site, and I include the Β£30.00 diesel and fresh muffins for his house when using Stuart's van to fetch the planks in my total costing. Still feel both happy at the result and that cost was low for the gain. Hope to be using Prozac as a van again over the weekend for a tip run me also to go down to Whitstable on Sunday for Fish n Chips on the harbour

That's where the other Elgrand that I've helped to build lives. I could double up on a reason for a trip down to catch up with you and the van's owner in the summer?

I think it's about 40 miles or so. But Whitstable is a lovely village (well, it was till all the Londoners discovered it and bought it all out and turned it into another expensive suburb of Chelsea) and worth visiting regularly. High street has been gaining more Costas and other city brands, but a few charity shops and other traditional businesses continue to operate despite probably suffering badly. Will send you a PM in a moment.

New cat in the house, well he was a foster kitten originally, and Nicola took him when she left but of course he came back on Frida. This morning, interestingly it was again Harley that woke me by 05.00 not Duke. So I fed them by 05.30 and had a mug of tea, surfed the web, then headed out to one of the two bootfairs I usually go to, except, halfway there a lot of rain, and I realised that turning back made more sense, so came home and went into the garage to retrieve some cans of paint that would never be used again and started to paint the Biltong cabinet, and the shelves and supports I fitted yesterday, making it look like a clowns boudoir. I also dropped some paint and then splashed some more on the floorboards. Watch this space. While painting the shelves, I put the ladder I had used to get to the top of the cabinet outside. Those who have noticed the bird houses in the trees saw the one above the shed, it has a family of starlings, same as last year, however, Harley is a hunter killer when it comes to wildlife. This was this morning, while I was inside the shed, I noticed her on the stepladder. When I got in tonight.......... Highly unlikely to be this brain surgeon. After Katy got up and showered, I closed shop, shoe reread etc, then we were off to Whitstable for the rest of the day. Got very lucky, got a parking space at the harbour, then went walking for 2 hrs in town. Loads of little shops, and then loads of city style shops, unfortunately making their way into this seaside fishing village, and killing of its old character. Still, there is some humour left in the old shopkeepers. As evidenced by this shop sign. Some clever graffiti around town. This made me chuckle Katy was in heaven too, clear road signs ensured she never gets lost in town. Once done shopping and walking around town we returned to the car, Katy went off to get us fish and chips which of course we had sitting in the rear of the Prozac-mobile. A fully functional fishing harbour, this place is always buzzing, and a nice place to spend a day. After this we went to look at a Skoda Fun for PedalcarJoe (Ernie) and then took a drive to a small seaside residential village called Seasalter. Home by 18.00 and concluding a great weekend. Back to work in the morning. Thanks for checking in and your comments.

Grizz, that's a "doing stuff" day.
Bonus points for getting the other half to travel in a fully stickered up ride.
My Mrs has venomently hated all my "cool" cars. Anything that's noisy, low, or attracted attention.. despised.
The 200sx with corbeau buckets, hks exhaust and 320+bhp was something she rode in about twice.
Being pink didn't help either.

Katy weirdly loves the car. I think she has such a posh background and knows what a Fretata is, so this is that bit of rough many dream of. If she said no, it would be fine too. Sometimes we win, sometimes we don't.

Great to see Duke is back in safe hands. I know this is not a cat or pet forum, but again, some people are interested in, or have various pets about that help in the garage, get under your feet etc....... I was really saddened when I saw Duke back the first time. He had lost a lot of weight, and was clearly depressed. If that is what cats experience when very unhappy. I am just really thankful that he is on the mend, and a week into him being back, he seems a lot happier, not completely right yet, but happier for sure. Harley still terrorises him, as she did ever since she was a kitten and he was 18 months old though, but they get on well. I suspect Tuna is his Prozac though, 1/3 of a tin in the evening for dinner/treat three nights running. Only once a week otherwise he will be demanding it three times a day. During the day..... And after hours when I get in from the garage, he likes a bit of a cuddle and to tuck down for a bit then he goes off again and lays somewhere in sight. Likes the company I think, same as Harley. Looks like I will be alone this weekend, so the shed and garage may just progress at a decent speed. I hope to get the shed filled with "stuff" Being Friday is a bonus.

don't get it...do they??? Nope. Sadly not. Love your cats.....hope to see them in 2 weeks, too! Greet Look forward to the German invasion. I am sure the cats will love it too. Grizz, is knowing what fratata is a mark of "posh"? The cats look to be enjoying themselves If you are Katy, it probably does not, but she is way more posh than me, and speaks funny, so imagine saying it slightly drawn out. I know what a frittata is, not a clue what a fratata is tho? Potato, potatoe, tomato, tomatoe..... Camel toe. All the same thing. Insomnia sucks. But sometimes its got its uses. Awake and up by 05.00 and cats fed plus forums read by 06.00 the next thing was to go to the garage and kill some time as I had an ultrasound appointment at 10.00 in Dartford. A few weeks ago when painting Katy's sheds she decided to throw out her Gas BBQ as it was grubby. Yes....... I did ask. Anyway, she bought a new one at Wilko for Β£70.00 and had her dad assemble it. I dismantled the old one and kept the frame. So this morning as I had a couple of hours to kill before heading out, I thought that adding some solid oak floorboards Mickey had dropped off months ago to the top of it would make a neat side table. Used the shortest piece at 700mm as guide. Used a rubbish bin for radiusing. Cut some corners. Sanded it all and smoothed the edges. Happy?? Not quite........ Wood needed some treatment on top and below. Second coat later when dry. I trust she will be happy to use the scrap. Shed time when I get back home. Well, Edit Now sporting three coats on top and the sides and two below. Good enough for the patio I guess.
