Grizz' Prozac for the Soul 🚙 Berlingo Multispace 28/01/22

A quiet day.

Kind of weird for me to do nothing or as little as I did today, but it was a good day.

CraigRK used his new wagon to pop over to Disasterbus early morning to pick up the lawnmower that I had been given.



Katy has a tough day job and was shattered yesterday so crashed and fell asleep on the couch after dinner, then this morning I was up early as usual but forced her to sleep late and then stay in bed reading a book, relaxing, taking her tea in bed etc.

We went shopping around 11.30 as she had stuff to sort out.

A nice coffee at Coffee Republic, people watching and then home.

We were expecting Ian "Overload" from UKGSER.com to pop in to deliver a new, unused towbar for the Berlingo.

He and partner Julie were here at 13.30 with their two awesome dogs.

Cuppa tea, Digestives and we were off to the garage to look at all my stuff........ I think Ian felt a kindred spirit in my wombling

One towbar delivered......... but it has a mystery attached.




The label on the packaging reads "Opel Corsa Combo" or Vauxhall Combo would be the same thing I suspect.

Who knows for sure.......??

Was there a floorpan share between Vauxhall and PSA or the Peugeot/Citroën meaning the Berlingo and Corsa take the same Towbar?




Time with Ian and Julie flew by and all too soon they had to hit the road home.

I went back to the garage after taking the Prozac-Mobile down there and started to mess with it.......

Get my drift?

Not yet fitted, just held in place with some masking tape.

I still have to prep these badges with automotive tape so that I can fit them to the tailgate.



Another weekend over.

Next stop, next weekend.

Hate to say it dude but thats the wrong towbar, that's been mis-picked, should be Bosal 023-391 for fixed fitting or 043-781 for a swan-neck. Aint gonna fit, as there is no commonality between the Berlingo and the Combo.
Wish I could comment with something positive for once. Watching this evolve however, your threads are always interesting!

Sounds good, but price means it's another bit of cash used and the law may not like it.

Haha, I can't tell if serious Grizz, I didn't mean I have NOTHING positive to say, you know what I mean.. Tints came out great btw. Totally changes the look.

Ive just had the one key before now. I removed the chip- glued it under the cowl to the ignition barrel then got another key cut. One chip for as many keys as you want!

IT is immobiliser, most key places nowadays can clone the key moderately cheaply, other option as stated is try to dig out the chip and glue it to the reader (Inadvisable on one of those moulded keys as if you only have one and you break it..) or get two more cut without chips hiding the entire original key in the reader. But by the time (cost) you have had 2 keys cut you may as well have one done and the immobiliser transponder cloned.

Grizz my man. Do you have a timpson by you?

If so they cut me a key for my mx5 recently with no chip in. I struggled to find a replacement key a while back for a newer astra estate with a chip in it. Asked the chap just out of interest as he had some newer looking keys hung up there and he told me that they can tell what chip is in your key if you have it with you and know the vehicle data. I think it was about £10 too so a bargain.
