Seen as I`m now pretty desperate for the space at work, I`ve dropped the price on this to £2500. No offers at all at this price please, although I`d consider a swap/part ex for a big caravan.
It`s also on eBay now with no reserve, so take a look, and have a bid. Mods; feel free to move to the eBay section if better suited.
Vehicle - BMW Z3
Year - 1998
Engine - 2.8
Gearbox - 5 speed manual
Mileage - 101000
MOT - January 2018
Price - £3250
Location - Chesterfield
So, I was never a fan of the Z3. Always thought it to be under powered and too much "hairdresser". How wrong was I! Anyone who has owned one of these 2.8's will understand where I`m coming from.
This was bought off a local trader without MOT and with the roof not working. It MOT`d a week or so ago needing some rear brake pipes, a shocker and a coil spring. The roof was sorted out, and ended up being something to do with the brake pedal switch, and all works as it should now. It`s done 101,000 miles, and has a really comprehensive service record with old MOT`s, stamped service book and service/repair invoices.
I can`t fault the way this drives at all. It starts first time, and is a nice sedate drive, until you put your foot down. The sound of the straight 6 is quite addictive. Fuel economy....I`m guessing that depends on how restrained you are with the accelerator!
Paintwork is very good, with just a few imperfections. Wheels are good. Black leather interior is good.
The negatives are the passenger window is slow to come down, but goes up as it should. I only have one key, and no remote fob. It had a BMW alarm system from new, but guessing that`s been disconnected. Shouldn`t be too hard to get it sorted again, or fit an aftermarket locking system.
Come and have a look, kick the tyres and ask questions. It`s on car and classic for £3650, so some nice retro discount here. No sales ploy, but these are on the up now value wise, especially the 2.8's so should make a shrewd investment.
Here`s a few pictures, another 40 something can be found on the photobucket link;
