Really like that, and partial to 100E's
Love all the special bits on it.
It certainly will be a head turner.

You need the rad height as you have no pump.

As above it relies on thermo siphon which needs the height to work, you will need a mechanical or electric waterpump in the bottom hose.

I see what you mean but I thought I'd be ok as the current Rad is a lot taller and positioned a lot higher than the usual 100e figment compared to the engine, hence why I thought it wouldn't make a difference as it's all still located and positioned the same as standard just in a different body. I'll have to take some measurements to confirm, don't want to go melting my lovely engine!

A water pump and the associated bracket would certainly round of your set up ( as well as a Rev counter take off although these are about the rarest option and a period correct Rev counter is even rarer (1 on the bay at the moment for ~£250)).
The bracket (Known as the Export setup)is just a flat plate with some holes and sleeves at each end for the chassis mounts would be very easy to get cut these days and there is a drg. some where on line that I have seen in the past. More importantly there are no markings on this as far as I am aware.
Water pumps come up for sale every now and then but it would be worth asking around as people are more willing to sell if it is definitely going on a car that needs it rather than just being stored as a spare.
If you do want to sell the engine I have cash and a suitable place for it to go !!!

I'll have to take some measurements to confirm, don't want to go melting my lovely engine! it is probably putting out approaching twice the power of a 100E as well though, in very rough terms 1/3 of the energy in the fuel goes out of the crank. 1/3 out the exhaust and 1/3 into the cooling system, I wouldn't be surprised if the higher rad was a previous owners cooling system upgrade (as well as the oil cooler). Over the years there were many aftermarket waterpumps made as upgrades for thermo siphon cars going back to the 1920's keep an eye out for something (or go to Beaulieu autojumble) and knock up some brackets to bolt it on.

The best thing you could ever do to make this drive nicely is sack the 3 speed off and fit a Reliant 4 speed. The engines and great but the gearboxes are garbage for actual driving.

That looks completely mad and all the better for it. Love the 100e with the fat steels as well.

Admittedly a 4 speed is better to drive but a 3 speed is not that bad and suits the character of lots of specials.

I drive the 100e in the background daily and that's all standard running gear and if there's one thing I could change and it's that 4th gear! I can do 15mph in top gear and from there it's all just revs revs revs!

Nice car! I bought one a few years ago, but the chassis was homemade & fell apart in my hands, so I'm building my own "special" & using the Opus body. I have a bonnet here if it's any use to you once you've trimmed the grill down a bit?

Thanks matey and lovely looking car but I haven't much money to go spending at the moment so I'll have to pass unfortunately... Shame about yours being a wrong-un... She's having a rollbar fitted at some point so I think I'll be tempted to strip the rest of the car and re-paint the chassis for some prolonged protection against such things! What engine/box does yours have?

Waheeey! Logbook has arrived, car has been taxed and insurance starts Tuesday = Me very excited! I finally got a chance to remove the cover and let the sun get to it Friday after work. Let it run for a good 15minutes too and she's such a fantastic engine I'm so pleased. I've been very lucky with all the sidevalve engines I've had so far and becoming very fond of them. Took my Anglia all the way to Coventry today and it sailed the A Roads and even the M6 on the way home and it flew off the clock when I decided to give it a push. Rest of the time just sat at 60-65mph uphill downhill didn't make a difference, quite pokey for what it is

Mine had a chassis that must've been homemade from plans & the welding was all pigeon poo & filler, good job that I didn't try to drive it anywhere! It has a 3.6ltr Jag AJ6 engine mated to a MT75 Transit gearbox!

Bloody hell I bet that fly's!! I drove it for 5 hours Tuesday till my bones had turned to pure ice but it was well worth it, I never ever imagined so much poke could come from a 997cc sidevalve!!
