The time has come to move my diesel-sipping ZX estate on. It has 206k on the clock and MoT until September. Had four new tyres and the glow plugs replaced within the past year. Recent exhaust back box, oil and filter change, car runs nicely and is very economical (the main reason why I bought it). These XUD-based engines are known for their longevity and this one should run sweetly for a few years yet. Interior is clean and roomy enough, with the factory radio/tape deck still in place. The bodywork has a few scratches and dings, plus the offside sill has been repaired quite crudely. There are a few clonks from the suspension – I have bought front anti-roll bar links and bushes to address this, but haven't had time to fit as yet, so they will go with the car. Plenty of history, including the original bill of sale, plus a Haynes manual. Been a good servant to myself and came in very handy during a recent house move, while it has also carried heat exchangers, three wings, four wheels and various other repair panels as a parts hauler for my Beetle project It is what it is – a cheap runabout that you won't have to worry about leaving in the supermarket car park. I'm possibly open to a PX/swap. I can be contacted by PM on here or via email at mg261285AThotmail.com Cheers, Matt

Drove from Aberdeen to Goodwood FoS in my dad's one of those years ago. Still had a 1/4 tank of fuel left when we arrived in Chichester - 600miles. Massively economical car.

Absolute bargain. Same engine as my 306 XRdt, they are stupidly economical and pull quite well for what they are. If it has the bosch pump it can run on straight vegetable oil too!
