I've just bought an mgb from the classifieds. At minimum it needs work on a rear wing/three quarter. Normally when I get a project that needs bodywork I get scared and sell it. I can't weld myself, and as much as I say I am going to learn time is tight. So does anyone have any recommendations for where to take it - preferably in the East Mids? (I am based in Leicester).
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Cheers!

Ask Nathan or akku. I know the latter used a bodyshop near him who seemed to do a decent job for what seemed a reasonable price. That's Nottingham way though. I'd tell you of bodyshops to go but most of the ones I know are Warwickshire based!

Thanks Chas. Nottingham or Warwickshire are both options, I'm only in Leicester.

I took my M3 to Southam Bodies. He's not cheap however, but in the past and it seems with this you do get a job that looks like a factory finish with no overspray present. Also your car will not hand around for long there ;he doesn't want it to! He even semi-baked my paint on up front . I understand Spa Bodies are meant to be OK in Leamington Spa. I do know of somewhere else but TBH they may end up putting more pug in than metal! But it would look lovely... He is around 1/2 the price of Southam bodies, maybe a little less however. You may as well ask adam73bgt. He's just had some bodywork done. There is also a place in Rugby a friend of mine swears by on Woodside Avenue. His work is meant to be A1 and he's possibly a little cheaper than Southam Bodies, but not by alot at all.
