So after a slight off due to a combination of poor light and a lapse in concentration, I want to upgrade my mx5s headlights. My std units are showing their age and need replacing anyway.
They are 7" std round autmotive lamps. Ideally I am planning to get lamps with clear glass, so the optical focusing is done by the reflector. I already have an uprated wiring loom and better quality bulbs.
Now my question is which is better? Flat faced or domed, as the mx5 can use either. My current ones are flat, however they get dirty very quickly and this reduces light output even further. I was curious as the whether the domed type are less prone to getting completely covered.
