Right, I've got a council garage in Rotherham that I've not been to in ages and I want to clear it out.
Theres a VW 1.6 TD engine in there. Sold to me as a mk2 golf GTD engine. Turns over and has a turbo and fuel pump on it, but I've not touched it for about 4 years+
£100 ish provisionally gone
4 speed VW t25 gearbox - Early type with a side shifter thing with two balls on. Off a 1.9d 79 van IIRC. I bought it when I stripped a van for the engine mounts to put a 2.0gti In my later t25. No bellhousing or input shaft. Untested but it was sold to me as good and it turns etc.
£100 ish
4 speed later VW t25 gearbox in "kit form". Fairly long ratios, 4th gear was not a long way short of the AAP box I once had. It drove perfectly with no whines or crunches until the selector arm broke and I lost 1st and 2nd. I took it apartto try and fix it and lost interest when I needed to spread the casing to get the diff out so you'd need to use it as a base for a rebuild or for parts. It was genuinely the best t25 box I've ever had.
£60 ish
Vw T25 Body cut - Lower front end up to the middle of the grille. Not perfect, a few holes behind the bumper but a lot better than some. Free!
I've also got an assortment of various gearstick and linkage bits for a t25. Some early/some late etc, I don't really know what's what TBH as I bought them all years ago when drunk at VW shows and then just used whatever would fit on my own van. You can have the lot if you buy owt else.
I can't post anything - It's all 20 miles away from home and at the moment I've got an Abarth 595 which doesn't stink like spilled gearbox oil and I'd like to keep it that way!
