Hi everyone, trying to get an insurance quote on a 91 Rascal van is proving difficult!
Does anyone insure a van for non-business use and who with please? I've had some quotes from the mainstreams but hoping to knock it down abit with a specialist. Just been on the phone to Brentacre who cover my mini but apparently they don't do vans.
Cheers!

The usual suspects will do it. Mines with performance direct. Its an 87 transit but as long as it's over 25years old I think anything goes. Be sure to point out is a classic van not for business use

It's just a winter daily for my Dad so he doesn't have to use his bike.

I have had a few over the years. VR6 caddy van, vito, Astra, ranger and now a L200. All insured as personal vehicles with no business use.
All through Adrian Flux/Liverpool Victoria.
I was unfortunate enough to have to use my insurance after a non fault accident and I have to say, credit where it is due they did an alright job. So cheap, and do what you want them to do when you need it from my experience.
Edit...
I did however have to say why I wanted a 4x4 pick up as a personal vehicle, I just told them my dogs were very big and I didn't want the cab to smell like dog and that my family lives out in the sticks, so 4x4 was needed for snow and otherwise poor conditions.
