I've spent a small amount of time trying to find the vacuum leak, I thought it was the old cracked air intake bellows so fitted a new one but apart from being slightly smoother it didn't help with the idle. I have some spare vacuum hoses to try out if I get a chance.
Other things worth mentioning, it has a pioneer cd player with a working electric aerial, electric windows in the front, central locking, the instrument cluster is in good working order, all of the gauges work, The blowers work well but the motor is noisy.
The car is mechanically sound, it's not all that quick but it's pretty smooth both enginewise and handling.
The price I'm asking is pretty firm, I know it's pretty much the wrong time of year to sell a car but if I end up using it myself I'll get attached to it and want to keep it.

There's a few issues that are worth mentioning, when I bought the car it was running quite rough, it wouldn't idle and was over fueling quite badly. I replaced the blue temp sensor, air intake elbow, distributor cap and spark plugs, I changed the oil and air filters.
It now runs much smoother but the idle speed sits at over 1k.

The car is in good condition overall but there are some rusty bits including the edges of the front valance and chrome on the bumpers. There is some lacquer peel on the bonnet.

The interior is in good condition, it features a dark blue tartan cloth pattern on the seats and blue carpets and lower half of the dash. The photos make it look incredibly blue inside but it's not actually very noticeable when you're sitting inside the car.

There's a slight wheel vibration at around 60 mph.
The rear exhaust silencer has recently been replaced but the rest of the system could be doing with renewal, it's louder than it should be but not unbearable.


Think of it as a rolling project, it drives reasonably well, the 6 cylinder engine is smooth as well as the 5 speed manual gearbox, it handles well, the brakes are good. It has electric windows up front and central locking.
It's a cheap way into 6 cylinder E28 ownership, there aren't many others in this roadworthy condition for the money.
