1981 Mercedes W126 280 SE 2.8 Straight 6 Auto.
It has just went through a fresh MOT (12 months) with no advisories, and many compliments on how solid the car was.
Recent full Stainless Steel exhaust.
The black vinyl interior is flawless, the original radio still works perfectly, including the fold away Ariel, and the radio itself has been adapted with an auxiliary input for your phone/ipod/mp3 player. I have done 300 miles in the car in just under a week, and I've never driven such a nice car, the seats haven't lost their spring, everything still feels tight and as it should.
There is a folder full of history with the car, the car has had no expense spared, it got what it needed, if and when it needed it, including 2 brand new wings fitted at Mercedes a while back because the arches were starting to bubble.
This is believed to be the earliest ones left, possibly even the earliest surviving example, sporting wind down windows and no sunroof, which is very, VERY rare for this model.
The car drives lovely, having only covered 73 thousand
miles, and wears freshly refurbished Mexican hat alloys with good tyres.
The car is in lovely condition, with no rust on the bodywork, and underneath is completely solid. It gets compliments everywhere it goes, and is a pleasure to drive.
If you're genuinely interested, give me a message and we can talk numbers. The price could be negotiable, but any genuine enthusiast will know the value of the car, and how sought after these gorgeous old Merc's are.
The car is in Sunderland and viewing is strongly recommended. I may be tempted with a p/x, but I'm looking to sell as opposed to deal.
Thanks for looking, if you'd like more pictures/details, please don't hesitate to ask.
