Any VW T4 Gurus on here ? As you have probably seen on my other post regarding the problem i have with the current engine Just thinking outside of the box for a moment but has anybody done the 2.4 to 2.5 conversion, i belive the Volvo V70 uses the VW 2.5 TD engine although the sump / manifolds / mountings will need swapping over, these seem to be cheaper to buy either as a loose engine or a complete scrap car which is probably the better option as you get everything with it also can hear it running Any input and advise welcome Thanks Dave

they use a VP37 electronically controlled mechanical pump, so using a T4 donor would be a lot easier with regards to wiring looms.

Thats what i was thinking could be another issue so if got a complete car could use the matching Volvo ECU`s Or maybe another option is to use the T4 mechanical pump and injectors on the 2.5 , cant see any information on the T4 T5 forum at the moment Thanks Dave

non turbo pump wont have the boost compensation that the ECU has, or a mechanical turbo pump.
injectors aren't electronic on the 2.5, bar having the needle lift sensor on one of them.

Got an lt35 turbo 5 cyclinder sat on the drive, there's another doner for you.
Engines mint but the Ecu is shagged I think., pretty sure it only controls the fbw throttle.
Currently bodged it to run mechanically. And with a throttle cable

I've not pulled an electronic pump apart.......how easy was it to bodge up to be cable operated?
