1992 Saab 900i 2.0 (non-turbo);
circa 122,500 miles;
MOT until 12 April 2017;
Runs on both petrol and LPG - very cheap to run, 300 miles to £23;
Higher Oak Saab of Wrexham have maintained the car over the last 15 years, and all work is documented within the service history. Flintshire Autogas Services fitted the LPG conversion in December 2005 at a cost of c£1700. I have the conversion certificate, which you may require for the insurance. In addition, the car is on the LPG register. LPG is currently 47.9p at my local BP, and it costs about £23 to fill the tank. I travel approximately 300 miles on a full tank, making this car cheaper to run than my Peugeot 205 diesel. The car can be run on either petrol, or LPG at the flick of the switch.
No rust on the door bottoms- common fault on the 900 Classic that you don’t have to put right.
The car does not jump out of reverse gear- another common fault on the 900 Classic.
No rips in the hood – the hood was replaced by the previous owner and is in very good condition. The electric roof functions smoothly.
I have fitted a brand new, genuine Saab exhaust middle box. The back box/tail pipe is also a new genuine part and part of the front section is stainless steel so the exhaust will not need any maintenance for the foreseeable future.
For the most recent MOT, I fitted new brake pads on the front and the rear, a new rear offside brake caliper and replaced the rear brake pipes with new copper pipes and new unions.
An oil leak was advised on the last MOT so I have fitted a new rocker cover gasket to solve the oil leak.
The alloy wheels have been refurbished. I have fitted new pre-2001 style number plates and replaced the chrome trim on the front & rear bumpers.
Oil and filter change about 200 miles ago.
No rust on door bottoms;
Does NOT jump out of reverse;
No rips in the hood, hood replaced in 2005, thus in much better condition than most 900 hoods;
Relatively rare wood trim;
Has a tow-bar so you can attach your bicycle rack
£2250
