I drive London to Leeds and back every fortnight or so and it feels a bit wasteful driving up and down the A1 with an empty van so maybe I can help someone.
I live in Rainham (RM13) and end up in central Leeds. Route is M25 (J30) - M11 - A14 - A1 - M62 - M621. Can detour for dropoff/collection... within reason. I don't mind sticking stuff in my garage for a short while either. Van is a vw caddy so fairly useful but not massive.
