It does actually. Some of the parts were missing when I bought it and haven't ventured into sorting it out yet.
I just wondered if this might be behind some of your fan issues you encountered when looking into the overheating. Sometimes one fan may only come on if the aircon is on. You might be looking at one of them.
We took an early A4 1.8T in px a couple of years ago now, and I stuck that on eBay and had loads of messages from people wanting it as an engine swap donor. In the end it sold to someone who wanted the car for what it was, but for about £500 you can get a full donor car (Passat/A3/A4 etc), take out what you want and make a few £££ back from selling on what's left and your old stuff and it's a cheap conversion.
So my Audi has developed a strange fault. I'm driving along and it starts to slow, slow right down, like its running out of fuel and it sort of judders, then boom all the power at once. Last night it slowed, slowed and then stopped all together.
I've checked all the spark plugs and they're fine.
I have noticed that there is a slight coolant leak on the "flange with sealing ring" 037 121 132 G.
Coolant level is fine, oil is fine.
But would this account for the juddering?
Any help/advice would be really helpful. As I am well and truly stumped.
