I can find you a turbine and then you could chop the roof off and then hit it with the lowering stick

Challenge accepted! I did some cut-n-shut... shorter boot/wheelbase, coupé-d the rear roofline and then a minor roofchop - all to refine its slightly gawky proportions. Then some twotone like your Volvo, and wider whitewalls. Oh and simplified the front arches...

i quite like P4s, they have some cool little features i came to appreciate whilst helping filby out with his blue one above. the problem with them is everyone wants to do them in a '50s american kustom/mild custom way, yet they have very 'british' proportions. although a large car (for their time), they have a very dumpy rear end with very little overhang, plus a roof thats very upright at the back which breaks up the flow along the car(the roof is actually higher at the back than at the front which just looks awful to me). couple this with a chassis and suspension setup that hangs out the bottom of the car a lot, and they never end up looking quite right to me.
my 3 biggest mods to make one something special would be to extend the rear 1/4s and boot about 6". a reverse rake roof chop that pancaked down the rear half a lot so it faded away more(I'm convinved that flipping the rear window upside down would achieve this, i keep threatening to do filbys one day), and a good 4" channel job to hide all the chassis and suspension. then youd have a P4 really worth talking about!

Roof chop but with a Carson top so you can reprofile it.

I think they are a bit ungainly. Too much "men drive with hats on so we need to make the roof high" look.
A rover specialist in Melbourne told me that he restored a 110S version for someone at a cost of over 100K..... holyshit.jpg

I've always loved P4's Def on my list to do one day (maybe one day soon) I did this back in 2011 to use as a Sig on here when I nearly bought one

Thanks for all the photos and stuff... really enjoying it all.
One question is there a reason that none of these cars are particularly low? Like sill scrapingly low? I know some Triumphs have some issues with getting on the floor, are these Rovers similar?

I think as Dez mentioned, The chassis seems to hang pretty low under the car, especially around the front end. To get one low low it would need channeling, which i imagine isnt the easiest of jobs If you look at this pic, the chassis at the front seems to hand down below the centre line of the wheels, so major work to get them down

the limiting factor becomes the bit I circled. Mine is now less than 2" from the floor and is the first point of contact with the ground at speed bumps , potholes etc. the rear should come down fairly well using standard blocks, Mine just hasn't been done yet. The exhaust as stock sits high in the chassis so is not a problem. and here is how mine looks next to two stock P4 100s
