1993 BMW 530i E34 V8 Auto Maldive Blue
£1,749
Dungannon
This 1993 530i V8 Auto is a rare find, in sought after Maldive Blue. It has been well looked after, by its four previous keepers, and is HPI clear.
It has covered just 121 thousand miles since first registration in August of 1993, with an almost complete service history from main dealers and latterly good independents. It has just been serviced (and valeted) ready for sale.
The grey velour interior is in great shape, with virtually no heavy wear, and all trim still neatly in place. The original factory fitted Bavaria stereo unit is still present and working and the manual for it is among the handbooks. All the dash and OBC pixels work fine as well.
Exterior wise the paintwork is in very presentable condition. There is no rot in the arches or boot, or any of the other usual places, however it does have some rust at the bottom corners of a couple of the doors. It's not terribly noticeable but will need sorted; it's been left in an as-found condition rather than repairing it and being accused of trying to hide anything. There has been some welding carried out to the underside of the car, and all of the seam-welded patches have been sealed and the entire underside coated in Tetraschutz to protect it from further corrosion. The car was hand-polished rather than covering it in swirl marks from a buffer, and the paintwork will come up even better if a comprehensive clay and wax was carried out. All the lights and other external fittings are in good order, crack free and clear.
The wheels are Rondell 16-inch alloys, with good tyres with plenty of tread, and suit the car well. Mechanically this E34 is super, with not a rattle, squeak, clunk or bang from it anywhere, no wandering from the front or rear, and almost silent, effortless progression through the gears. It is a great example in this regard, seldom have we had or driven an E34 which is as trouble free and composed as this, which is the reason it represents a fantastic opportunity at a reliable retro daily or future classic cruiser, at an entry-level price for the budding enthusiast. This car absolutely needs to be driven to understand the faultless suspension and whisper-quiet mechanicals, which set it far apart from most worn out BMWs of this era.
It's offered at £1749, a sensible price to allow the new owner to address the small bodywork needs. There are two keys, and MOT until April '18.
Three months driveline warranty is included.
