This is a copy and paste of my advert on ebay, it has all the correct info covered I think. Click on the link further down for photos.
Here I have a 1993 Volkswagen Polo Coupe Genesis for sale. I recently sold my last car to a good friend of mine’s son. He was struggling to raise my asking price but as he really wanted my car so I agreed to take his Polo as part exchange. It is a nice tidy car that has been extremely well looked after and has had a huge amount new parts fitted, it's just a bit too modern for my taste.
The Polo is the Genesis model which means it has metallic paint, tinted windows. Steel sunroof, checked interior and a rev counter in the dash. It also has the 1.3 litre injection engine and a five speed gearbox with is quite nippy and still economical to run. From memory I think it has done about 87000 miles but will have to double check this next time I’m in the car. It has MOT until May of next year.
As you can see from the pictures the car has been tastefully modified and drives very well as a result. It has obviously has new wheels/tyres and upgraded suspension fitted but it also has full stainless steel exhaust system and four branch manifold. There is a new lower front bumper spoiler and a smooth badgeless grill fitted. The brakes have had a major overhaul and the engine has recently had a major service.
The list of new parts that have been fitted in the last year is extensive,
Powerflow stainless steel exhaust system.
4-2-1 exhaust manifold
Full engine service
Timing belt
Front brake calipers
Front brake discs and pads
Brake flexi hoses all round
Rear brake drums
Rear brake shoes
Rear brake wheel cylinders
Hand brake cables
Rear wheel bearings
Steering track rod ends
New fuel tank and filter fitted (a common and expensive problem on these cars)
Suspension up graded with a 60/40 mm shocks and spring kit
Polyurethane anti roll bar bushes
Polyurethane rear axle bushes
Reconditioned front struts
Reiger front spoiler
Smooth badgeless grill
German style number plates
Bullet One wheels 7” front and 8” rears
Matching Nankang tyres all round with excellent tread
Freshly fully under sealed.
It’s quite a list as think you will agree and should see the car give good service to the new owner for years to come. These polos are getting quite rare now and more sought after. If you are thinking about getting one then this is the car to buy. The new parts total comes to more than the asking not to mention the countless hours of labour that have been poured into it.
It is a 23 years old car so it isn’t perfect the only faults that I can find are minor and body work related. There is a small patch of rust starting on the bottom of the passenger door (50p sized). There are a couple of car park dents down the passenger side where careless people have opened there door against it. The rear wheel arch lips have been folded up as they were scuffing on the new wheels as a result they will need the paint on the edges touched up. There is still very minor scuffing if you hit a big bump in the road. None of these things take away for the overall appearance of the car but I would rather be honest to avoid any disappointment. I have travelled long distances to view cars that have been miss described, it’s annoying.
I think I have covered everything but please ask if you have any questions. I am in Paisley near Glasgow in Scotland. I live under five minutes from Glasgow airport and Gilmore street train station if you are travelling a long distance.

I an looking for £995 or very close offers as it really is a nice car and I think it's a fair price for it. I might be tempted by a part exchange or swap for something older and interesting (50's/60's/70's and prefer RWD).
