I visited the Gilmore Motor Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan on Saturday with some folks from the Grassroots Motorsports forums. How I didn't know this was 3.5 hours from my house I'm not sure but I'd not heard of it until early September.
I took a lot of pics and if you want more I will throw them up, mostly pre-war (2nd) stuff and little is modified but still a cool day of viewing. Cars are not cordoned off, there are signs saying not to touch but it is nice to be able to get around the cars and look at details!
This is cool, same style car with different bodywork
In the background of that pic you can see an old camper (caravan) which was made for six months and only 55 were produced. 2 are known to still exist and both are present in the Museum.
Being pulled by:
Informational diorama about the dust bowl, crop/soil management has come a long way
Yes, it's real. There were two loose engines on display as well!
And that's half the pictures from the first hall, there are nine buildings if you want to see more I will post them.
*All photos on a phone by a non-professional more interested in cars than fancy shots!
