1995 Calibra SE5 2.0 (C20NE 8V)
MOT April 2017
Taxed to get you home
Black with cream leather interior
Very original and seems in-messed with bar a K&N filter, but these engines are far better with a decent filter imho.
Bodywork is exceptional, especially for age and mileage, really is a fine looking car.
I'm a bit (a lot, really) of a Vauxhall licker and this didn't disappoint me, still maintain they're one of the best looking cars ever made.
Anyhow everything seems to work still, bar the heater for the driver's seat and the sunroof doesn't seem to open as far as I thought it would.
I have no history, but if you come and see the car I'm pretty sure you'll agree it's clearly been very well looked after.
Had four new tyres recently and an oil change, filter, plugs and rocker cover gasket
Alarm and immobilisor.
Standard stereo fitted, doesn't seem too good but it's there!
Drives great, very '1980's/1990's Vauxhall' and while you can drive it like you stole it, it's dead easy to just hang about admiring the looks in shop windows and what not.
Mileage is 188,000, so fi you're one of those who buys on mileage and not condition then it won't be for you.
Not so good:
Windscreen has a star chip (quite big) so will need replacing at some point, though it's not in the line of vision.
The interior has a few rips in the leather
Driver's seat heater doesn't work
Sunroof doesn't open fully (spare one with car though if you want it)
One or two marks on the body
There's sure to be some other minor things, it's a 21 year old Vauxhall after all.
If I keep it I'll put a DTM backbox and a deent system on it, they sound so much better with a throaty-ish exhaust.
Truly sorry to see this go but have plans that involve needing money. I genuinely believe these are sleeping giants in the 'future value' stakes, a truly iconic (yes, I did say that) 1990's car that is getting very thin on the ground now. It's immense fun to drive and gets favourable attention, come and have a good look round it and see for yourself.
£700, Chester.
I appreciate this sounds a bit blunt or whatever, but if you're one of those people who just wants to ask what my 'best price' is or make an offer before you've even viewed the car, then I'm not interested. Come and see it, sound me out and the car out, then we'll talk about the money. I don't want a swap sorry and I don't want a part-exchange unless it's something stupidly cheap. I'll pick you up from the railway station if you like, and if you live miles and miles away feel free to ask anyone on here to inspect it for you and report back on this thread, I have nothing to hide and no intention of doing anyone over, I don't work like that.
