	Is it going to be possible to drive this on the road given local rules regarding mix-and-match vehicles? I am not even sure what to call it for registration purposes? I am lucky in that I I can get away with putting a Volvo body on a Miata chassis and registering it as a 1973 Volvo, with all of the Classic car perks that entails. Can you do the same thing?

	bjornagn we can to an extent. What mr is doing is essentially just a different frock on a Spitfire chassis, using the unmodified chassis and suspension/steering from it as well. It is classed as a rebody and from what I understand of the rules at the mo will be the same legislation that applies to the MR2 based RS200 that badrep is making

	thanks mate,I'm removing the pitted chrome and painting it all matt white instead.gives it a little touch of modified I think. takes a bit of the classic away but I don't mind. ive kept the white theme going with the wing piping too. I'm looking at running wooden batons along the running boards and painting them white too

	Boot fair goodies. a meddled with petrol can which i'll redo and make nocer plus a mega light unused fuel tanks which ive been after for ages.this one will leave some room in the boot too which wont be a bad thing.

	thanks to mercdan and incarsolutions I now have a boot rack. as can be seen it was too big for our pre war diddy bootlid. a few cuts and some quick tacks to hold it together later and we are getting there. will be finished today,dressed and painted matt white like the other chrome parts on the car. It only has two rubber feet so I may find some nuts that fit inside the tubes where the feet go and bolt through from inside the bootlid and ill add washers to the outside where the tubes meet the bodywork. i'll still use the side clamps too though .

	Bought this from a boot fair,a quick strip and sanding of the sharp edges plus swapping the bolts to rivets later and I'm happy Mid rub through Steampunky stereo that will be built into the back of the car and run through a decent system…..just to be different

	so the stereo in this is going to be the wooden boxed with one shown above for shows and meets but for daily driving we now have , thanks to mercdan68 ,this lil' beaut. it will be probably be mounted near the wiper motor above the screen but to be honest, its so small it could easily go anywhere. the styling also means it wouldn't look out of place under the dash either.

	sadly lifes gotten in the way of late so no progress has been made for a while.i lost my best mate of 20 years a couple of months ago and I kinda lost interest in the cars. the Granada is finished and ready although resting on ramps to save the tyres from distorting.been a marathon of bad stuff going on at work too with two mates having strokes within an 8 week period .saturday night saw my wifes daily rear ended in a hit and run and the excess on the insurance is so damn high its being sorted with used parts which aren't so easy to source. i'll get back on the rod as soon as I get a ..... I have bought a few bits inc two reg plates,led number plate bolts and even a door mounted picnic tray

	I also have a small projector that I want to make into a drive thru cinema speaker so my son can watch a film on any wall he parks in front of and watch films

	sold a few bits so had money to get some more bits for the rod. got a curse word radiator but one day ill get it rebuilt,got a bonnet emblem for the morris 8 too. condition again was very poor but after sanding for ages and some primer its not too bad. I wont be sourcing the "8" insert for the loop, I have already measured and source some eyes to fit in there instead . not my idea, its just my take on the von dutch flying eye thing from years ago sourced a rusty floor mounted pedal box too but i'll refurb that at work .......in the warm.

	the eyes arrived. they're awesome but I need to dremmel the metal out a tad as they don't drop in perfectly. as for the look, I'm absolutely chuffed and so happy I also bagged a narrow floor mounted pedal box too. its rough but I already had the paint in the garage so it wont cost anything to make nice.means I can sell the stand alone accelerator pedal ive had for ages too and recoup some cash. and now the pics....................

	Wow, that hood ornament was something else! Ubercool. You were right about the pedal box, it is looking rough, very rough. But I guess it will blend in with the rest of the car. It looks quite sturdy.
