	Dynamotor pulley arrived so that was loosely fitted. A mate gave me his old roof rack for free the other day so that's just resting on the roof awaiting adjusting. May see if I can find an old butchers bike, something a bit period and not scene. Took some pics on the potatoe....

	Had a clean up session this morning in the garage. Found the ratty gnarley sun visor I started making years ago.. that'll be straightenend and added to the car. The more parts that are on the car, the less I have to wade through every time I try to get stuff done on the old thing

	Managed to bag a pair of headlight covers at last. A bargain at 10 the pair. They're chrome apparently.

	Took a week off work..... Seemed the ideal time to get my welding up to scratch in readiness for the mr2s sills So back onto this!! Half done running boards welded up, front wing welded permanently on and also across the front too. So much debris under it.... And more spider webs than the I tro of an Indiana Jones film.

	Had a few hours on the rat today. Decided I'm done with the doors that don't fit.... They just wouldn't go in the holes and it was peeing me right off. So armed with a fat permanent marker I reached inside and marked where was in the way. Then I sliced the inner door card area and then hammered the metal behind it. I'll weld things up later.... When it's not dark (not that welding would be any better if I could see what I was doing) So now I have a working door and now also a door card that fits too. That's gonna be covered with bits of the old sofa that was donated to me. I also refund the flight case handles too which will be used to pull the doors shut.

	Had to go back and check how long I have been following this project. About 8 years if I do my maths. Guessing your build partner is pretty much done with Uni by now and probably tooling around in a BMW or some such Does he still participate or has he moved on to all of the "Adult" projects that suck us is as get older? Is there a goal of ever getting this on the road? Will it even be allowed with the regulatory hoops that you have in the UK? Please do carry on as I have not missed a post in the 8 years but a recap that pulls it all together and vision statement would not go amiss to those that are following along. Pete

	Hi mate and thanks. Yeah my sons onto his second Mr2 and only interested in that. I've had time booked off so there were some jobs I needed to get out my head. The I'll fitting 80 year old doors were always a pain but I've now got one working. The plan is to get it all welded up, interior in and driving. I won't be putting it on the road, even with the triumph chassis I'm pretty sure I'd get destroyed by an mot inspector. I have already decided to use it as a novelty thing at the farm I help out at. That's why the roof rack went on. Going to paint it up as a farm delivery vehicle..... Unless someone wanted to buy it.i wasn't it done and at the farm now asap. The body needs it's frame bolting to the kit car modified chassis which shoyldbt take much work. Then I'll weld box sections into the floor to bolt the seats onto. I have already made the rough wooden interior panels so it's nothing major. There will be a crude exhaust poking out the front wing area too as I sold the stainless ones I had to get some cash in.

	May cut a "can shape" out of one of the wheel arches and make a drop in slot for a can to sit in

	Massive parts haul this evening. Avenger twin carb on inlet and exhaust manifold and air box, a bunch of random mud flaps that are free to a good home if collected from Woolwich or Tonbridge Wells, a pair of sealed h4 headlights, a pair of starter motors which was the main reason for buying it up, a dynamo which I can sell on to raise cash for the rat rods build and also a regulator for??. The rear light is new and will get put onto the rat rod unless someone has a bunch of cash and they really want it.

	The Avenger twin carb set up will be cleaned up and sold so I can get me a 1.3 toledo su carb and a bunch of steel box section, a kit car wiring loom and pipes to make up a breaking system

	If it’s on a Vitesse chassis and suspension, then in the eyes of the law it’s still a Vitesse, just a rebodied one. Getting it MoT’d shouldn’t be impossible provided everything works as it should. Personally, given the time and effort you have put in it over the years, I think it would be a shame not to get it back on the road, particularly as it would likely not survive long as a farm hack.
	My worst worry about dying is my wife selling my stuff for what I told her it cost...
