I will set a scene.
Lazing about in a sunday afternoon just dozing off and there is a knock at the girlfriends door.
It turns out that her neighbour across the way has reversed into my the side of my car, namely the rear quarter panel on my 1992 vauxhall nova.
After exchanging information and taking pictures and me assuring the woman who is in quite a state, that "it's fine" "don't worry" whilst secretly wishing imminent death upon her nissan leaf because i know that it will be written off........again.
You would imagine that it would a simple state of affairs her fault insurance asseses the car i get market value of the car.
The problem.
Earlier in the year my car was already written off due to someone reversing into the front of it.
After receiving a letter from their insurance company i promptly phoned them to discuss how to proceed.
Chatting at length and having a quote from my local body shop at hand (£500), the woman on the other end of the phone offered me £200 to which i declined.
Needless to say i am extremely angry so i said i will ring them back at a later date to discuss things further.
Sorry for the lengthy essay.
But my question is what can i do now?
Do they have to pay the cost of damage?
Thanks for any help in advance.
