Classic Mini 30th
1989 G reg
M,O,T 20th July 2017
Location Ashford Middlesex down south next to Heathrow airport
This is a sale that i did not see coming, but it is now not advisable for me to drive it any more due to a back problem that has become much worse and I'm not getting any yonger,
i have been working on it on and off since i purchased it back in 2011 and finally got it on the road this year, in true Mini style everything i have touched has either turned to dust, rust or broken, so much has been change, replaced or rebuilt
i have many bills for many new parts that are now fitted to the Mini,
the bodywork
could be described as used, it will need some panel work ie welding and paint if your fussed, it's no swish cheese though,
the underside of the car is good but scruffy on top, by scruffy i mean chipped, scratched, dented, the roof looks like it could have been once used in a caribbean steel band, doors have rust but i will be supplying two used doors that will need work,
the engine
is 1275cc from a metro fitted with a twin choke 32/34 dmtl carb and K&N air filter, engine runs sweet and pulls well,
interior
is standard other than the centre three gauge binnicle, Astrali steering wheel and modified (bent) gear stick and knob,
rev counter, oil pressure gauge are made by Stewart Warner instruments, the water temp gauge is made by Tim, i have a mechanical water pressure Gauge by Stewart Warner that needs a repair to the copper tube as it was damaged when it was removed from the engine it came from,
Wheels
10x6 banded steels fitted with four new Yokohama A008 165/70/10
suspension
new Front o/e rubber donunts
Hi Low's
AVO adjustable shocks all round
New Front heavy duty adjustable tie bars, bushses
new negative camber front lower arms
new old stock top arms,
rear suspension arms fully rebuilt with stainless nut's washers used, KAD hand brake quadrants,
Brakes
New front 10" Cooper S disc's, pads and calipers,
rear brakes Cooper S Rebuilt,
Braided brake lines all round and new copper nickle pipework used throughout,
Rear Sub frame fully rebuilt using a genuine MOWOG sub frame, all nut, washers are stainless steel, all parts to fit up the sub frame were new,
Exhaust
stainless steel RC40 single rear box, stainless steel centre pipe and Maniflow LCB mild steel manilfold
some pictures
i have many other pictures of the car which i will put up tomorrow night,
to recap
the Mini has a long M.O.T and is mechanically sound,
the underside body is in good order
the top side is where paint and welding will need to be done in the future if you want it all shiny and nice,
did have plans of driving this to our freinds in germany but due to my lower back being knackered i can no longer drive it for long before it bites me, i have spent years buying genuine new old stock parts for this, as well as buying the best i could new parts from Moss etc as i had intended having it for a long time,
the roof rack is not some scene thing but a fully functional roof rack which i have made good use of, it also hides the dents in the roof a bit,
Price
£2500
contact me on here (PM) if you would like to get more details and or numbers for a talk, if you get my number so you can text me i wont answer them sorry, a conversation always work better for me,
