I need to buy an M10 x 1.0 tap to recut a blind thread in the end of a shaft (about 30mm deep). I tried my local ironmongery/hardware place in Reading but they don't have a tap that size.
Can anyone recommend a supplier near Reading or online who might have such a thing of good quality?
I'm presuming I should get an HSS one as I don't hear good things about carbon taps?
I appreciate that if I was @johnnybravo I'd probably make my own from a bit from the scrap bin and a school pencil sharpener, but we're not all superhuman!
