What I'd be interested in, is ideas/tips for maximising the space... I've a couple of bolt together shelf units and what was a display unit from an engineering supplies shop, that's very useful, holds a lot of weight, but has better access then a bolt together shelf, no side uprights! And how to drill into pre-formed concrete.....without it breaking! I've stuck plywood pads onto mine with Gripfill and then screwed onto that. All my electrics are done that way including the strip lights on the asbestos roof and the consumer unit which has an armoured cable hanging off it. Nothing has come adrift yet though it's only just been a year since I did it. Haven't mustered the confidence to hang a shelf that way yet!

Jeez your a paranoid lot. Shall we just shut the forum down incase people try and stalk us down to steal our stuff? You can't post anything on here without falling into the trap of showing what you have. I agree tho. Maybe some friendly advice would be good, some people don't think about that sort of stuff.

Oh and great idea too. I'm not lucky enough to have a proper workshop at home atm so maybe widen it to workshops I'm general?

Trouble is most peoples facebook is set to open . more fool them tbh, if you don't want people to see your stuff and where it is don't just leave it open to all and sundry to see! if they want my stuff they'll have to find me first, and its insured anyway! Insurance is all very well but money can't replace that which is now unobtainable. New stuff sure but not the old stuff most of us are interested in.

Plus, all they have to do is wait whilst you replace everything, and come back again and help themselves again! And now your premiums have gone up,and you may not get insurance agsin, until you've spent a shedload of dosh on 'approved' security systems.

Once I go in my workshop, only I knows what goes on in there. Although there are pics in other forums from projects, bust of luck stealing anything as it's guarded 24hours a day by members of the travelling community and a horse.

couldnt think of a better way of telling the theiving community whats hiding in your garage TBF, it would be a bit difficult to procure the actual address/location of a garage purely by a picture. Aside from that, any link to the poster wouldn't be much help either so long as the privacy settings were cranked up, which they should be anyway. You mean surprisingly easy, if you use a mobile phone and the host keeps the EXIF data.
