Looking good, where did you get your boot struts from? I usually use mk3 Granada ones but mine are weak now so as soon as so much as a knats fart comes into contact the whaletail it closes the boot on my head Got them off eBay , perfect fit and the boot opens as it should , I had the same problem , should have done this 10 years ago haha

Painted my rear bumper with a rattle can , just so it’s all one colour as I had it plastic welded because of a small reversing mishap , the old adage that it’s all in the prep really stands here , it’s only temporary as the whole car will get painted once funds allow but this will do for now

And a motor we’ve been doing some work on , a mate bought this in Detroit end of last year and got it shipped over , changed out the fuel lines , quick tune up and passed its mot , he’s starting a wedding car business , not for making money just so he can get out and about and drive his car haha

Been busy with my dads sugga and other cars but got back on the Cossie for a bit , new wheels as I’ve always disliked the originals , some people love them but their not for me , these fill the arches so much better But as always one step forward , 2 steps back , engine out as I’ve been told that the oil pump I have came from a bad batch from Burton’s , needed to paint engine bay anyway so out it came Drive it into the garage and engine was still warm when it was put onto the engine stand !! Quick engine bay tart up Now all shiney , I have new bonnet latch , bonnet stay grommet and holder , stickers etc , just need to fit all the riv nuts so I can get all the tanks and wiring refitted , currently half way through a 3 week training course in Abu Dhabi and all I can think about is the Cossie , that’s normal right ??!!

Just found this thread. Lovely car and great work so far. So, you have a 3 door Cossie and is that a CR500 Supermoto lurking in the background? Both legends!

Yeah man the cr500 isn’t mines it’s just here for storage , I wish it was mines as their absolute animals to hang onto ! I want a black vfr 400 to restore as I can do that at my house where as the Cossie is stored at my parents

Car moved over to the large workshop now the Volvo sugga is sold , so good to be in a heated workshop makes all the difference , ran some more of the wiring and primed the oil pump and fitted a new filter , hoping to be running again by the weekend By this rate it’ll be ready for an mot just as it snows , not that it’ll stop me using it !!

Headlining retrimmed , old one was sagging like mad , was actually fairly easy and makes such a difference Fitted a new passengers side motor and regulator , and for the first time in my 12 years of ownership the passengers window not only goes down , it goes back up as well !! Need to sort the camber out , fitted comp brake adjustable bottom arms and need to get them set up , doesn’t look too bad in the pic Mates coming round to machine polish the car and I’ll be painting the bumpers and the body kit so she’s looking good for the mot , just a few tidying jobs to do and she’ll be road ready

I’ve got the rose jointed ones mate , that and coil overs I’m sure it’s going to be an unforgiving ride but it’s not built for comfort haha , should handle fine tho , I’ve got an alarm and immobilizer , ... , ... , plus when I used to use it daily id disconnect .... and take the ... off if I was leaving it anywhere , getting an .... fitted once it’s mot’d , look them up on you tube it’s a seriously impressive system , I’m very aware of how attractive these cars are to thieves Probably not a good idea to list out the exact anti theft features the car has openly on the internet. Not as if I’ve posted pics of where they are , be fine , thing will be alarmed to it’s teeth by the time it hits the road

Just some recent pics , loads of work been completed recently , none of the pics relate to that work because I’m terrible at taking pics when working , got all the fuel lines and front to rear brake line permanently attached to the car , new comp brake cnc diff mount , all the interior back in after fitting up a new headliner and hoovered it for the first time in god knows , new number plate lights and bulbs , removed the dump valve and fitted a bung as I hate the noise the dump valve made and much prefer the stutututut of the “wastegate” chatter , shot blasted and painted the rs500 fog light grills , started to strip the front bumper ready for sanding and painting . Jobs still to do are fit the fuel tank strap , paint front bumper , remove all the stickers off the boot and side stripe ready for clay bar and machine polish , replace a coolant line as that’s split , replace ps line as that’s perished too , so lots to get on with It looks so dirty and unloved in that last pic , once bumpers are on and on flat ground I can set ride height as it needs a bit lower in my opinion
