Selling my '78 Bay to fund a restoration on my early.
I'll do the gritty stuff first - It was last on the road in 2014, it's just been professionally welded and is now completely solid, with no rot to be seen!
I can't stress enough how solid this bus is, not a bit of rot in sight.
It needs the brakes, ball joints and clutch and accelerator cables to finish for the MOT... A weekends work for a diy'er! I have no time, as all of my attention is on my early.
It is running a mega twin carb set up, has had new sparks, dizzy and new sliding door lower arm. Had a new exhaust with a fat boy back box.
Doors could do with replacing, but it is a rat queen, so I'd personally leave it like that.
Roof canvas is OKAY, has a couple of holes but nothing that doesn't add character!
Exterior - It has had all the paint stripped off and lacquered, which has then rusted ONLY on the surface. I was going to just 120 it back and Carnuba Wax it to protect it, or you could paint it as it is so solid!
To sum up, a rustic interior and extremely little work, you could own an MOT'd Bay for under 6k!
£5250
I love this bus, but I need to free up some cash.
Viewing welcome in East Sussex.
*Apologies for the photo's being wide angle, it was the only way to get the whole bus in!*
