Very reluctant sale, but family circumstances require me to let go of my very standard and original early Mk2 Golf GTI
Now back on the original Pirelli Alloys with brand new tyres, standard lights and orignal 4 button steering wheel
The complete K-jet fuel system, was reconditioned last year, all welding complete creating a very solid car, partial respray and the rest of the paintwork professionally restored to blend in. Very tidy interior, no bolster wear as the drivers seat has been built from a donor passenger seat.
Still on the original 1.8 8v EV engine which is now showing 193k miles but excellent mechanical order, good history, and restoration fully documented on the Owner Club forum.
I have a certificate for an agreed valuation with the insurance company for £4500, and documented every penny spent on the restoration totaling £7,674.70 to date to justify this asking price.
Just got a new MOT so MOTed till 11 August 2017. It passed with an advisory on slight play in rear wheel bearing.
Taxed and currently in use but if not sold during September I will SORN it for October and take it off the road for winter.
Obviously with current laws tax can not be transferred to the new owner, but whilst it's taxed it's obviously still legal for a test drive.
Located in North Bristol/South Gloucestershire
Price: £3800
