	Hi all, Have a budget of about £1000, £1200 at a push , not a lot granted. But looking for a retro classic to mess about with , don't mind a motor that needs some tlc but ness to be running , driving and mot'd I like early Vauxhalls and bmw's historically but struggling to find anything at that price . Any ideas, what would you buy for a bag of sand?

	I'd look to BL stuff, and maybe even Japanese stuff for that money if it can float your boat.

	There was 65 HA Viva with nearly a years ticket went for about £1100 the other night on Ebay,bit tatty but hey. If you like BM and GM you could still get a half decent E36 318is or a Calibra,a good E36 is a nice thing to live with and bound to get sought after.Get in early before they go up ! Could go Japanese with an early 90's Celica,MX5/Eunos,MR2,100NX or a CRX Del Sol.Lots of Japanese saloons and hatches from the 80's,early 90's would fall into price range. Other ideas Merc 190E Scimitar SS1 Volvo 240 Standard 8 Allegro
