hi, looking for a rear axle for a potential project, needs to measure 54 inch or thereabouts, i measured from backplate to backplate across the axle. After trawling about in my mates garage measuring everything he's got we only found a scimitar axle (52inch) and a jensen (54inch) but both of these have a massive diff casing that will involve more cutting of the shell than i'd like to do....

I think a corolla ae86 axle is about that width

backplate to backplate measurement is meaningless, measure across the hub faces.

I presume this is for your Viva. I used a Scimitar SE5 axle which us the correct width. No cutting of the shell needed on my Magnum but I am running standard height. You can also fit a Jag LSD to these axles. Downside?... Very heavy.

nope not for the viva, but yeah if it was then the scimitar would do a treat, it's for the cavalier ...possibly.... more measurements and planning first i think though  |
