Long time lurker on here (mainly glued to the abandoned cars thread) and attended my first RRG at weekend there so thought I would put a post up with my fleet. I think I did a thread about my mk4 Escort a couple of years ago, but I still have her and coming up for 7 years of ownership! Fairly rare in Olympic Gold, and was purchased as a completely stock 28k, 2 owner car. It now runs an ST170 engine on 48mm Weber Alpha throttle bodies, LSD box, poly bushes, 16” Comps, RS interior and brakes etc. Hasn’t been on the road for past couple of years due to purchase of my other retro ride, but regularly started and moved about. Recently moved to a house with a nice big barn so she is getting the little bit of tlc she needs and can’t wait to get her back out again: And my late Sapphire 4x4 Cosworth in Nouveau Red which I had with me at RRG. Owned for about a year and a half and love her to bits. One of last ones with the colour coded spoiler tip, rounded dash and electric sunroof. Stage 3 running gear with all the usual stuff. Bought it with the 18” grey Compomotives but recently picked up the 17” Rondells for a wee change. Also sourced a set of standard ‘sharktooth’ wheels as love the look of them too. Car has covered 88k and covered the 750 mile round trip to RRG without skipping a beat. Very different cars to drive, but equally fun! Sapphire is lovely on a long drive, especially when wife and daughter are with me but Escort is a hoot on the back roads, with a soundtrack that can hurt your ears if you try! And a couple of quick pics from earlier this year when my old man had a Sapphire for a while and my brothers S2 Turbo...both now sold unfortunately! Hope you like em 😀

That's a stunning pair you have there. Absolutely love the Escort and have seen it before in a mag. Was it Fast Ford mag?? The Nouveau red is a stunning colour, especially when polished up!! I'm a Ford nut and I'm very jealous!!

Lovely cars. The Saff looks best on Escort Cosworth 5 spokes so I hope you kept your dad's ones. 😀

Thank you for all the nice comments!
The Escort was featured in Fast Ford a couple of years back, alongside my mates black one that had a similar spec. Been in storage for a couple of years now but deffo coming back out next year!
The white Sapphire was sold as it was. Like the look of the Esc Cos wheels but they are not very pleasant to drive on!!

Love them both. Incredibly jealous of the Sapphire, that's one of my dream cars right there. In that colour too.
