Hello, welcome to the sale of my 1987Lada 2104 wagon. (finally re uploaded with photos)
The reason for this sale is that I have spotted another classic car that has rather taken my fancy and I want the Lada to go to another good home.
The car itself is a particularly solid example with no severe corrosion to speak of (which I am told is rare in Lada's). I bought the car back in late 2014 as a barn find, fixed it up, and have driven it as a daily driver without incident ever since, it now has 610100 miles on the clock (this may change as I drive it in the mean time).
Whilst I have owned it the car has had-
- new spark plugs, HT leads and distributor at 51000 miles.
-new brake flexi hoses at 51000 miles.
- new heater valve and cassette at 51000 miles.
- new water pump at 55000 miles.
- new brake master cylinder at 57000 miles.
- radio and sound system installed at 58000 miles.
I did a full service (brake check, valve clearances, oil and coolant change etc at 57000 miles.)
The car is MOT'd until the end of Jan 2017.
The only mechanical modification I have made to the car is the addition of a Weber 32 dfm carburettor and a new throttle cable. This really transformed the car and made it into a proper, smooth and relatively fast (for a lada) daily driver. To give credence to this, the car has recently completed a 780 mile round trip around Cornwall from Brighton in savage heat without missing a beat.
As you can see from the pictures the car has fake wood panelling on the sides for that classic 'woodie' look, but if you don't like it, it will peel off. The car also has a non standard steering wheel, and the original steering wheel can be included in the sale. I also have a parcel shelf and a roof cage that could be included to sweeten the deal.

It's a great car that drives really well and always gets loads of looks and comments on the street and at shows, I'm probably stupid to sell it but I would like to try something different and unfortunately I can't keep both.
