This was an impulse purchase a few weeks ago, and it seems my wife doesn't completely aprove!
So in the spirit of a happy marriage I'm gonna pass it on any buy something a bit more to our collective taste.
It's a 1992 'K' Saab 900xs 2.0 16v (aka a swedish capri)
3 door coupe hatchback
166k miles
MOT until 21st July 2017
Currently taxed and in use as a daily driver.
I didn't get any history with it, but it was advertised for sale by Saabtec in 2015 with a full service history, so I assume it had some.
Drives lovely, pulls well.
A bit of surface rust around the wing area, and a bit on the bonnet edge and outer piece of the petrol flap.
I bought it with electric window issues and after a day of stripping am rebuilding, the drivers is like new, and the passenger one works if a bit slow.
The headlining was also ripped and hanging down so we carefully removed the solid liner, which comes with the car should you want to retrim it.
It actually looks pretty good without the lining in if I'm being honest. The roof is really good.
Now it comes with some awesome saab 'things' such as a huge electric aerial. I know, childish, but it makes my son chuckle every time it goes up and down.
It has pop out windows in the rear, Muchos cool.
The bonnet opens in a space age fighter jet stylee
The boot is humungous.
Great speakers giving you a reminder of how much bass was missing from the 80/90's
The windscreen is so curved it makes a 1303 beetle screen look flat
Electric mirrors work
Fitted new wipers
Comes with Power steering
4 alloys with centre caps, although I think it looks better with them removed.
My wife did insist on replacing the chrome bumper trim front and back so it has some shinny bits, and she likes sticking things too!
As already stated above, it's a lovely car, just not for us.
Did I mention it has mot until the end of July next year.
£950, Dropped To £850
We will consider offers, swaps, part exchanges etc.....
Car is in Doncaster.
