Hey folks, I'm still vegetating at the moment, but I thought I'd give me thanks thread a go. First and foremost is Keefy with who the show is jointly organised. I get to make sure cars and people and all that good stuff are there, Keith makes sure the place we're going to is equipped to take them. Alongside that you can thank Keith for the awesome food selection, which was much harder this year due to the bank holiday weekend, but he didn't just throw his hands up and provide a bunch of cheap burgers, instead he worked and got us another great line up, which I hope you all appreciated. Second up will be bstardchild without whom you'd have no track action. Organisation wise we've got better each year and this year's track preview threads were brilliant. During set up he also worked tirelessly to help get the site all sorted. Tash (and family) for sorting sign on booth, helping set up and keeping Keith pretty much sane. gewy the other half of the paddock crew, another tireless worker who along with his family are part of the set up for the whole event and manage to fill the gaps where the rest of us run out of time. Next up are the three people without whom the show this year wouldn't have gone anywhere near as smoothly HARDCORE VIP and Robinxr4i after last year's problematic set up we wanted to get going early, and boy did we knock it out the park. These three along with the previous regular crew got the show field complete in a day, they also picked up a bunch of other heavy lifting. With Dan and Andy sticking around to help with the clean up. (the ridiculously photogenic)Jody and Clare are a great part of our crew helping out during set up, being part of our show family for the last few years, it is great to see them every time and the show field this year wouldn't have run as smoothly without Jody there for guidance purposes. Add to that Rob who stepped in and helped with set up and doing the show/club field. rmad had been my right hand man on this forum for years and at the show he sorted out us some audio at the last minute. He is also on the judging crew that we wander the field with, alongside Andy and Dan this year. It is one of my favourite bits of the show. Beyond that I have to thank our security team, all the staff at Shelsley, particularly the hill and start line marshaling team that accommodate us and our strange little event. All the club organisers that took the time to get cars together to the event. All the people that took to the hill. All the guests. All the traders. All the people that bought cars, or came for the day in their modern car. I think that covers all of the thanks. Oh no... my wonderful wife who puts up with me for the ten months or so I spend actively organising the event, who helps sort the tickets out, who then comes along and runs our merch stall along with my sister-in-law Alice. I'm sure I've forgotten people. Oh and I got some photos at the end of the day, so I shall share them once I've processed them

It was a great show from my perspective - after the struggles of last year it's clear that we really improved the set up process this year and it was a joy to be involved and you could see that in the faces of all those who helped.
I believe there were elements of the "Hill activities" that need improvement - first time pre-booking both morning and afternoon there were bound to be issues. I'll make no apologies for the inevitable "Hill Climb Feedback Thread" which will appear very soon as the feedback (both positive and negative) from spectators and participants makes a huge difference to how we run the following year*
I think I said it somewhere else but the best show I have ever been to was RR @ Mallory in 2007 - until this year there hasn't been an RRG that has got close to it. I think #RRG16 just set the bar a little higher - now we have to make #RRG17 even better than this year.
(*provided we are at the same venue - move venue and we start from scratch again - we have never managed to stay at the same venue for more than 3 years)

Everyone organising was dead friendly including all the security staff on the campsite as well. From our perspective both the camping and hill climb RWYB was spot on, it all felt relaxed but organised. Also thank you HoTWire for yelling at me about how happy you were I was the first person you saw were a RRG16 tshirt!

Thanks for everything. Everything was as close to perfect as possible. With that said, I would like to give an extra special thank you to Keefy for the food selection. The pork burrito I had at about 4pm really made my day. Especially since it was getting late and they were still there and still had what I wanted. Sorry we couldn't stay behind to help clean up, but my passenger and I both had obligations. I will try to book the following day off next year.

386 miles in a deafening rotary smelling of petrol (admittedly it would have been less if we hadn't got lost on the way back) ...on five hours sleep? A rainy mountain in Worcestershire? I don't even know where Worcestershire is and I certainly couldn't spell it unaided. Ropey old rustbuckets parked-up in a field full of the by-products of ovine digestion? A hill I only had to stop on once, halfway up, to puke? So what's not to like? Thanks for another bloody excellent day out, thoroughly enjoyed every second (except realising I'd lost my wallet when I went to pay for fuel on the way home). With that said, I enjoyed even more the realisation my wallet was actually in the centre console where it had been ever since I bought the etnry tickets... in an unlocked car... all day Hope that weird growth affecting VIP s face clears up soon Sorry to the ticket dude who was rather more surprised than I was to find out that late 70s Mazdas don't have ABS and wet grass isn't that conducive to sharp stops. Sir, your trust in human nature is touching

I spent ages sheltering from the rain under the pits, but you looked like there was Organisation happening in quite an intense way every time I tried to butt in. I know how much you feel the need to be professional about the Hill from your threads, so I figured it was better to leave you in peace being busy than blunder up and give it all that "hi, talk to me" stuff

Massive thanks from me for all the hard work put in leading up the show and across the three days. You know the site well now and its a slick machine that operates at all times. It was nice to see the crew getting some down time as well during the weekend.
I'll see what I can do about helping more in the setup next year, its always fun marching up and down smashing things into the ground with a lump hammer!
