NOW SOLD!
The MOT has now run out on this, so price is reduced to £550ono. I'm pretty confident it'd go through an MOT with very minimal work, but with two cars of my own to get roadworthy, I don't have the time or the money to do it myself.
My sister has moved to India, so I've been tasked with selling her car.
The car in question is a lurid yellow VW Beetle. I won't beat around the bush, this isn't the tidiest example of a Beetle you'll find but with a little work it could be pretty good again. My sister has owned it since 2014 and it's showing evidence of her ownership. It has a few scrapes around the bodywork, mainly on the front bumper which I've pictured. It also has a load of black marks on the offside sill which I can only guess were made by her shoes while getting in and out of the drivers door. Again, I've pictured the marks.

I’d recommend you come and look at it, just so you can see what you’re getting in the flesh. I work as an editor so I leave early and get home late. Viewings during the week might be tricky but contact me and we’ll work something out.
Mechanically, the car seems sound. It’s yellow. I haven’t driven it much but it starts, goes and stops as it should. No warning lights up on the dash. Everything works as it should. Tyres all have good tread. Low mileage, although there is a discrepancy on an old MOT cert from before my sisters ownership. It’s the 1.6 petrol version which are apparently sought after because they’re much more economical than the 2.0. It did have a fluctuating brake pedal which was only noticeable at higher speeds from a warped disc. It was picked up at the MOT by the mechanic but he said it wasn't severe enough to need changing. It'll need new wipers blades.
Cosmetically, it’s very yellow. It’s looking a little tired. I’m not sure if my sister ever washed it during her ownership. Judging by the state of it when I was washing it, I think not. The paintwork’s not particularly bad, it could just do with some time spending on it. Someone with more time, skill and patience than I have could probably have it looking even more yellow again. It has a few scrapes here and there. I’ve pictured the worst of them. As mentioned previously, there are a load of black marks on the offside sill along with a shallow dent. It’s had a new front bumper, which I fitted. It’s a slightly different shade of yellow to the rest of the car, which I’ve attempted to show in the photos. The drivers side wing mirror casing is cracked and broken.
The interior is in fairly decent condition. I went over it with a hoover and a damp cloth but the front seats could do with a shampoo to get them looking really good again. Having said that, it’s not really bad at all. No rips or tears in any of the seats. Electric windows all work as they should, including the sunroof. Comes with the CD/USB/AUX headunit. The remote central locking works fine too. The lids on the cup holders are broken but it still has the flower holder on the dash, complete with a white and pink flower. There’s even yellow on the inside too!
EDIT: Just found another pink flower, so that's included at no extra charge.
That’s about all I can think of for now. If I think of anything else I’ll update the ad.
She’s asking£800 for it. Now £550ono. Any questions, just fire away.
