Hi guys, I've fitted my 600 watt 4 channel amp to my Lincoln.
I've connected 2 300watt peak, 100watt rms 6x9s to it.
The front speakers are standard 5x7s; 25 years old at that, too!
I have the speakers attached to channel 1 and 2, and the switch on the amp to '2 channels'.
I don't really understand how all this works, and therefore haven't been able to set it up quite right!
When I adjust the balance left and right, the front ones change from left to right, but the rear ones stay on permenatly.
When i adjust fade front to rear, they all stay on when fully front, and if i remember right, stay on when at the 0 mark...but they all fade off when i move it to the rear!
Due to the front speakers being old i wanted to fade it to the rear a bit. As it stands i can't! The old headunit wad five with regards to the fade and balance..
Also, the main thing i need to know is how best to adjust the amp. Obviously i have bass, mid, and treble adjustments on the head unit.. but there is a min/max screw on the amp, and i don't really know how to get the best out of it. It was an utter ball ache to fit it all this afternoon, so slightly gutted it doesn't sound as good as I'd hoped.
